Event Details : Turntable Productions (New Delhi) kick starts its journey from its first production 'Footnotes'.
'Footnotes', consists of stories that lie in the fringes and are often ignored, the play isn't about the big moments in life but the apparently insignificant ones, which when looked at, may throw up very useful insights.
Sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking, these tiny plays in which any one of us could have a starring role, are windows into the different class and age of the present day Delhi, revealing our triumphs, disasters, prejudices, horrors and joys of the everyday.
Consisting of miniscule stories, scraps of conversations that can be easily overlooked because of their brevity, these plays will try and capture the traumas and reliefs of modern life. By using an amalgamation of these tiny plays (some of them are just 30 seconds long) that should almost seem like overheard conversations, we plan to examine and capture the state we're in.
So, we have 8 exciting young actors who pick up and drop at least 3 characters in the process of performing around 30 tiny plays in less than 90 mins. Hope you have half as much fun in watching the play as we had in making it. : )
