Event Details : 'Khwab-E-Sahar' dream of a dawn, cultural space in people's resistance against hierarchy and elitism, Dr. Subhendu Ghosh, Pratidhwani

Dr. Subhendu Ghosh studied Hindustani classical music under Late Padmashree Ustad Hafeez Ahmed Khan of Rampur Gharanain Delhi. Khan Saheb had chosen Subhendu as one of his able disciples to represent his style.
Subhendu also studied under Late Pandit Ramesh Nadkarni of Bombay (disciple of late Ustad Aman Ali Khan). He performed extensively before live and television audience all over India, Germany, Austria, Italy,Slovakia and the USA.

Subhendu gave music direction to a number of televised movies such as "Imagine Kalpana","Asli Azadi", and "Apne Haque Ke Liye", and drama "Andorra" and the ballet “Azadi ke Taraane”. He directed and sung in the production of commercial music albums of Hindustani classical music, 
ghazals and popular folk songs. He is founder and director of the popular cultural organization Pratidhwani. Subhendu has performed for us twice in past.
