Event Details : Bharatnatyam Arangetram by Ms. Mallika Eswaran, discipline of Guru Kanka Srinivasan.
Ms. Mallika Eswaran (discipline of Guru Kanka Srinivasan, Padma Shri Awardee) shall perform the “Bharatnatyam Arangetram”, the classic Indian dance. Mallika, a class XII student has been dancing since the age of 10 has won numerous prizes in various competitions. Mallika has also accompanied her Guru for performances at Tirupathi and Chennai.
Guru Kanka Srinivasan (Padma Shree) is one the leading exponents of Bharatnatyam having mastered both Nritta (pune dance) as well as Abhinaya (story telling through expressions and mime) aspects of this dance. With her emphasis on the purity of presentation, she has thrilled audiences as well as received rave reviews from discerning critics far and wide.
