Event Details : Pratidhwani in association with Tapaswini Nav Sadhna presents "Parampara" An evening of Odissi by Nitisha Nanda with Guru Smt Ipsita Behoora and Guru Sri Samir Kumar.

About the Performers : 

Nitisha Nanda, an Odissi dancer based in New Dehli. She has been training at Pratidhwani as a disciple of Ipsita Behoora, President of Pratidhwani and a student of Late Shri Kelucharan Mohapatra. Nitisha has been formerly trained under Guru Hare Krishna Behera.  She has been dancing for the past 16 years now. Besides classical Odissi, Nitisha is also a trained Belly dancer, working with the Banjara School of Dance as a senior instructor and performer and training under Meher Malik. Apart from this, she has also received training in Contemporary, Bollywood and Salsa. She has travelled around India to Mumbai, Jodhpur, Hyderaad and Goa for various shows and also to Cairo,Egypt for the Nile Festival. She has also been a part of popular television shows like Just Dance, India’s Got Talent, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Comedy Circus. 

Ipsita Behoora- A very senior Odissi dancer, based in New Delhi, has recieved training from Late Padmavibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra and Late Padmashree Sanjukta Panigrahi. An accredited artist in Doordarshan and ICCR, Ipsita has performed extensively in various locations and festivals in India and abroad. She is the founder President of "Samooha Pratidhwani", a group active in popularizing dances from Odisha in India and abroad.

Samir Kumar- An Odissi dancer, recieved hi training under Guru Somnath Pradhan and later under Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra. He has previously been a part of 'Srjan', a dance foundation by Guruji's son and has participated in various festivals across India and abroad. He is a recipient of the National Scholarship for Dance. He is also a recipient of the State Youth Award.
