Event Details : 'The Semblance' an exhibition of paintings by five young artists coming from diverse socioeconomic and regional backgrounds and practicing in different visual idioms. The exhibition is also the consolidation of the works of these five artists as a group titled Panchkone based in Delhi. Their works play with surreal landscapes, morphed objects and animals, visuals from Grimm's Fairy Tales, responses to male gaze and an animated dark humour. Despite the diversity in the visual lexicon which is even reflected in the selection of palette which ranges from the use of bright to pale colors what unites them is the passion for art making and reactions to urban anxieties and social conventions.
