A film about ‘women in wait’ for their dear ones, who have gone missing from the conflict-ridden valley of Kashmir in last two decades. Woven around the life of Parveena Ahanger, a Kashmiri mother and other such women, the narrative of the film interweaves their memories of separation and emotional catharsis with their resistance movement, relieving their hope to trace their missing ones someday. The film embarks on a journey of sensing their lives as they are, at present times, revealing stories of endless wait, grief, anger, resilience, devotion, resistance, sisterhood and spirituality.
Followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.
