Event Details : 'Mapping India' talk by Dr Manosi Lahiri, founder of ML Infomap, developer and supplier of digital maps of India, and author of Mapping India (New Delhi: Niyogi Books, 2012)
This illustrated talk on 500 years of India’s cartographic history will show how maps reflect India’s changing social and political fortunes. It will also show maps that reveal changed courses of rivers and record the discovery of the highest peak.
