Event Details : Alka Mathur, a qualified artist from the Sir JJ School of Arts (Mumbai) and a resident from Santa Fe Art Institute, is presenting INFUSIONS –Tea Bags Unlimited, an exhibition of her work of art inspired by used tea bags that she has collected over a period of 6 years while travelling through different countries. Alka Mathur’s passion for tea culminated into an extensive body of work created with used tea bags pressed on fusion paper embellished with Kantha stitches from Bangladesh and Jaipur dying. Tea does not stand in isolation for her. She relates it to a journey and experience- To tell a story and to reminisce a memory.
