This film premiered at the prestigious IMZ Dance Screen in Frankfurt, Germany and has been selected for showing at the D.C. International Film Festival; and for the Women in Film Festival, Kennedy Center, Washington, DC.
A somewhat humorous spectacle featuring three characters with body parts wrapped in large white bed pillows, suggesting an armor of protection, an obstacle to overcome. This site film, shot at the House of Sweden, Embassy of Sweden, is at once bold and delicate, humorous and loving, diving and daring. Original music by Steve Hilmy has a classical edge.
A dance duet shot on location on Solovki Island, Russia in an historic wooden building built in 1929. Maida Withers and Anthony Gongora, dancers along with Audrey Chen, vocalist/cellist, create a dramatic relationship with close up shots of strong physical dance movements.
TZVETA I (7:42 min)

The film, a collaboration with Anthony Gongora, editor, cascades within shifting emotions and ephemeral views of a woman moving through her time on this Earth. Steve Hilmy balances electronic synthetic sound design for a provocative musical amalgam.
TZVETA II (4:59 min)

TUK is a stunning fusion of dance and the environment filmed in the spectacular wilderness lands of the Four Corners Area of the U. S. Southwest. TUK is an extraordinary journey of eight souls across the majestic landscapes primarily in Utah - five dancers, two filmmakers, and one photographer reveal their uplifting and challenging experience in this inspiring film by Maida Withers. The landscape photography is by world-class photographer Bruce Hucko.
