Event Details : Habitat World celebrates Lohri with great pomp and vigor.
Gratifying Sufi songs and Punjabi delicacies and symbolic bonfire mark the celebrations
With the setting of the sun, Habitat World promises to be a visual treat for everyone in the family with huge bonfire amid the beating of the drums and mesmerizing performances by the Ensemble Chaar Yaar led by the renowned Sufi scholar Madan Gopal Singh, Deepak Castelino (Guitar and Banjo), Shyam Nepali (Nepali Sarangi), Pritam Ghosal (Sarod) and Gurmeet Singh (Multiple percussions).
This Lohri the ‘chaar yaar’ quartet is joined by two more ‘yaars’/ friends of music Vinod Dua and his golden voiced wife Chinna. Discover a lesser known dimension of political analyst and food show host Vinod Dua.
As food is an inseparable part of the Lohri celebrations, a sumptuous buffet has been specially created for the occasion featuring Paneer Choliya, Amritsari Aloo Wadi, Sarson Da Saag, Mah Cholian Di Dal, Keema Chakundari, Dhabe Ka Kukkad, Amritsari Kulcha, Chhoti Praunthi, Makki Di Roti, Amritsari Machhi, Ganne di Kheer, Rabdi and more.
