Four 16 year olds trying to get into IIT propelled either by dogged determination, parental pressure, or blind faith in the ‘herd mentality’. A principal anxious for the perfect result to establish a good reputation for his school. An Economics teacher who just couldn't care less! Enter an egoistic English teacher who hates the very thought of a country's future adopting a unidimensional approach to education and things get interesting. The maverick pushes the obstinate lot to venture beyond restrictive curricula, into the world of literature and history, and four lives get altered.
A story that brings forth prevailing prejudices, and provokes one to ponder over the link between teaching and education, and the purpose of it all.
A simple, heart-warming lyrical comedy about disillusioned youngsters, friendship, love and of course, English homework!
Based on the play, 'The History Boys' by Alan Bennett.
