Event Details : Yavanika presents 'Ballabhpur Ki Roopkatha' Hindi Comedy Play.
The story of this play has its source emanating from the period around 1561 i.e. the era of the dynasty of the then rulers of Ballabhpur – “Barabhuians”. The story revolves in and around a palace in Ballabhpur which is occupied by the sole survivor of the Barabhuians, who is a young man and currently a dentist and his loyal servant. Interestingly, the soul of one of the Barabhuians is still haunting the palace. The young man who is
completely indebted, wants to sell the palace whereas the soul is waiting to take the revenge, for which it is waiting for a person who ultimately turns out to be one of the prospective buyers of the palace. In order to sell the palace and show their wealth the young man and his servant, using local shopkeepers, stage an interesting drama to convince the main buyer.
One confusion follows another. Meanwhile the man for whom the soul is waiting also arrives and what happens then? The play has many interesting ups and downs and unexpected turns. The most interesting part is yet to come. This play which is being hosted in Delhi after a gap of almost 30 years has almost all the colours of a good comedy play.
