Event Details : 'A Step Away from Paradise' An illustrated talk by Writer and photographer Thomas K. Shor, author of a book of the same title, published by Penguin India (2011)
Step Away From Paradise tells the true story of a journey to a land of immortality led by a charismatic visionary Tibetan Lama who, in the early 1960s, set out with over 300 followers to fulfill an ancient prophecy by journeying into the high Himalayas in search of a Land of Plenty. Shor tracked down the surviving members of this extraordinary expedition and weaves their stories together with research into Tibetan tradition and reflects on the deeper meaning of a search for Paradise.
