Event Details : 'Guerrilla' Bangla film screening.
Won the NETPAC Best Asian Film Award at the 17th Kolkata Film Festival in 2011.
Guerilla is based on a novel, Nishiddho Loban by Syed Shamsul Huq. The filmmaker has envisioned and
framed in celluloid a truthful representative of the Bengali women engaged in the liberation war, a character
chosen from amongst the dedicated thousands, one particular woman named Syeda Bilkis Banu, Our Bilkis.

Jointly organised by Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi, and India International Centre to celebrate the 40th anniversary year of the historic War of Liberation of Bangladesh in 1971. December 16th is the 40th anniversary of the Victory Day of Bangladesh.
