(1) At Gallery 1, Basement : 'Voyage' an exhibition of paintings, drawings and prints by Samita Nag, M. Firoj Ali, Debasis Nandi, Rajib Roy, Atanu Mukharjee, Prasenjit Shaw, Subrata Mete, Amrita Ghosh.
(2) A group of contemporary artists come together to showcase an aesthetic order and balance of elemental truths in their paintings. Each artist works within the frame of their individual concepts exploring and giving shape to their artistic abilities. Surekha Sadana’s works portray 'Bazaars' which has been an integral cog, since time immemorial for the middle class population.
The series of oil paints depict the visuality of immaculate rustic beauty of these local bazaars provoking
a strong and profound feeling on the viewer attributing to the dexterity of the works. Manoj Balyan is fascinated by the butterfly, which he finds is like a flying flower, beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small and approachable. Butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life and every one deserve a little sunshine symbolizing happiness, beauty, different colours of life and most prominently freedom. He co-relates them to 'Women,’ another beautiful and graceful creature of God. Kumar Santosh experiences
deep happiness within him that he depicts on the canvases. He does not attribute any form or style to his
works for he does not believe in binding himself from doing whatever the heart and soul desires. Vijay M.
Dhore landscapes are always full of colours, breeze, and freshness enveloping a certain mystery in them.
The visual sight of these make you spellbound as if you are transported there.
