Event Details : Screening of the film 'A coté/ From the other side'. 

In the small house of the association Ti-Tomm, attached to the wall of the men's prison in Rennes, life revolves around the visiting room. Families arrive in advance, always. A delay of a few seconds, and the prison door will remain closed. They have just one, two, three times a week every week for months or even years. Visitors are mostly women; these Pénélopes of modern days live to the rhythm of their man in the shade. For them, time is suspended. The arbitrariness of the prison transfers and prohibitions are their daily routine. By choosing to remain aside of the prison – by the families’ side – this documentary offers paradoxically approach eminently front of what reality means in prison. A life without the beloved one, but a life which must go on though.
