Workshop Details : This month's session is on Monsoon Ragas conducted by eminent sarodist, Pandit Narendra Nath Dhar.
This workshop would be of useful to all those who have an interest in music and not got the opportunity to learn it. The purpose is to get people interested and educated about Indian Classical music through such workshops.
It gives me great pleasure to inform you about a new initiative at Habitat- Weekend Music Masterclass Series which we started in May. This Series is for those who would like to know more about the finer nuances and hidden beauties of Indian Classical Music. We discuss one aspect every month and this month we will be discussing the Ragas meant for the monsoons- Malhars. Knowledge of music would be helpful but is not necessary to be able to attend this workshop.
