Tibet House in collaboration with India International Centre invites you to a lecture on "And it was Very Good:" Towards a Planetary Eco-Spirituality by Dr. Darrol Bryant from Canada.
What does the environmental crisis mean for the religious traditions of humankind? Can we find the resources in the wisdom traditions to redress the human/earth relationship? Can we find a way ahead? This lecture will explore these issues as it seeks to sketch a planetary eco-spirituality centered in the good earth.
Dr. M. Darrol Bryant is Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Director of the Centre for Dialogue and Spirituality in the World Religions at the Renison University College in the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He is the author/editor of more than
twenty-five volumes books including Religion in a New Key, Muslim Christian Dialogue, and God: The Contemporary Discussion. He has written on dialogue with Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, and the Chinese Religious traditions as well as ecological and theological issues.
The lecture will be chaired by Prof. M. M. Verma, President, Interfaith Foundation, India, introduction by Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director, Tibet House and thanks by Dr. A.K. Merchant, Trustee, Bahai Lotus Temple.
