Well known children’s writer Deepa Agarwal will read her stories on this theme for children of different age groups. Deepa is the author of more than 50 best selling books. Her latest title The Scholastic Book of Hindu Gods and Goddesses will be out very soon.
Elmo the jolly red Muppet, who hosts Sesame Street, the popular children’s television show, will put up a performance. Elmo and Deepa will also discuss the idea that good stories can make us kinder people with the audience.

Deepa Agarwal is a well-known writer for children. She has over 50 books published for children of various age groups and has won many prestigious awards, including the National Award for Children’s Literature for her book Ashok’s New Friends. Her historical adventure story Caravan to Tibet was on the IBBY Honour List 2008. Apart from fiction she has also written biographies and retold mythology and folktales.


Grover is a tall, gangly, dark-blue monster who speaks in a variety of Indian accents. In the new season Grover owns a Dhaba in the Galli which is the best and the most hygienic Dhaba in the Galli. Grover is associated with disruptive fun and learning. Grover’s over enthusiasm to help others gets in the way at times. Grover gives information on various subjects but then again has an unexpected take on it.
