Event Description : BOOK LAUNCH “IndoSpanish Cultural Encounters (1956-2016)”

Edited by: Dr. Anil Dhingra y Dr. Gonçal López Nadal 

Synopsis: This book has been published on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and India. This work is published by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and is jointly edited by Dr. Anil Dhingra of the aforementioned university and Dr. Gonçal López Nadal of the University of the Balearic Islands, Palma de Mallorca. The book gathers 35 writings of writers, journalists, artists, philosophers, teachers, sportsmen, translators, diplomats, lawyers, businessmen and economists who offer their personal testimony that from different perspectives contribute to combine two worlds with different characteristics in order to narrow the complementarity of their peoples. The publication of this volume is a result of the growing academic collaboration between Jawaharlal Nehru University and the University of the Balearic Islands, the two university institutions that led the academic approach between Spain and India.
