About the play: Sir Vigilant by Sir Miguel Cervantes, originally in Spanish, was written at a time when the golden age of kings and queens had passed and the lower classes started becoming the heroes of literature. It tells the story of a war veteran and a sexton who lock horns in order to win the favour of a certain kitchen maid named Christina . In this battle of wits, sticks and sings, the question is , who will Christina choose and on what basis?

About the theatre company: Fourth Wall Productions is the Dramatics Society of Shaheed Sukhdev college of Business Studies, Delhi University (SSCBS). It was established in 1995 and has since, thrived every year, powered by the vigor of its enthusiastic members. The organization is a culmination of young individuals who are creative, imaginative, expressive and above all revere the art of theatre. Always striving to perform thought provoking yet
entertaining plays, Fourth Wall has performed plays by renowned authors such Luigi Pirandello, Mahesh Dattani, Dario Fo, Manav Kaul, Stephen Adly and Badal Sircar to name a few. The plays have been well received and applauded by the judges and audiences, alike. The society performs at several venues across the country. This year Fourth Wall Productions has produced three full length plays 9 Jakhoo Hill by Gurcharan Das, A Shaggy Dog Story, inspired by Mark Haddon's 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime' and The Winter Rain (by Prateek Soni) all of which have been critically acclaimed by many theatre critics and artists. Now we have got the privilege to work on the short play, in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes, Nueva Delhi, Sir Vigilant authored by Sir Miguel Cervantes.
