Event Description : IRCEN (India International Rural Cultural Centre) & School of Performing & Fine Art, Vasant Kunj present "Sham-E-Holi (Promoting Community Living)" Qawwali by Ustad Abdul Hamid Sabri & Party celebrating Holi

Ustad Abdul Hamid Sabri : Ustad Abdul Hamid Sabri is a Well known traditional Qawwal of Delhi Gharana. Born in Delhi he has been groomed in a musical atmosphere since his birth. Abdul Hamid Sabri received his training from Ustad Hilal Ahmed Khan and Ustad Zafar Ahmed of Delhi Gharana. He has given a number of Qawwali performances in various musical concerts in different cities of India and abroad. His electrifying stage presence and charisma only serve to enhance the overall grandness of the performance. He is an 'A Grade' artist of All India Radio (Delhi) and an empanelled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). He is the recipient of many prestigious awards. In 2000, he also had the honour to perform for the then President of India, Shri R.Venkataraman in New Delhi. Abdul Hamid Sabri and his group visited Yangon (Myanmar) and Bangkok (Thailand) for performances sponsored by I.C.C.R, Govt. of India.
