Event Description : Vadehra Art Gallery in collaboration with KHOJ International Artists' Association invites you to"Mapping the Show : Chronicles of Silence (Khamoshi Ki Daastan)" Artist Talk by BV Suresh.

The talk will present the developments in BV Suresh's practice: across painting, video & installation. He will be discussing the varying dimensions that emerged in his work through the multi-media approach: technical explorations, critical negotiations and interventions between the materials & concepts.

Presented in conjunction with the artist's solo show, EXHIBITION "Chronicles of Silence (Khamoshi ki Daastan)" a solo show of sculptures by BV Suresh at Vadehra Art Gallery, D-53 Defence Colony > 3rd to 31st December 2015

'Chronicles of Silence (Khamoshi ki Daastan)' is an intermedia installation by BV Suresh curated by Pushpamala N, a well known artist herself. This is Suresh’s second solo at the Vadehra Art Gallery, where he will be presenting an array of multimedia sculptures that have come to define his practice. The show will be on view till 31st December 2015, 11 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday at D-53 Defence Colony, New Delhi - 110024.

About the artist : BV Suresh studied painting at Ken School of Art in Bangalore (1978) and completed his diploma and post-diploma at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Baroda, in 1985. He went on to do an MA in painting at the Royal College of Art, London, on an Inlaks Scholarship where he studied under Peter De Francia and Ken Kiff (1987). BV Suresh is Assistant Professor of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Baroda and lives and works in Baroda. He is continuously negotiating the visual fields of the contemporary – that includes everything, from art practice to our immediate surroundings. His work is a take on the issues of realism where he employs multiple realisms, questions of history and narration and the engagement with the circulation of mass media images.
