Event Details : Embassy of Colombia, in association with India International Center, presenting an Exhibition: Amazing
Amazon, by a Colombian Photographer, NICOLÁS VAN HEMELRYCK.
The theme will be the focusing on the beauty that the great river Amazon spreads while travelling through
the South of Colombia. The objective of the exhibition is to spread message of conservation of Mother
Nature and especially forests. The exhibition will showcase various kinds of floras and faunas around the
banks of river Amazon in the forests of Colombia.
The exhibition will be displayed in the Committee Room III, IV & Hallway of IIC.
NICOLÁS VAN HEMELRYCK, is a graduate in architecture, economics and literature. He has worked as
architectural designer for various projects. He has been a scenographer for a play named - Alone with Margarita Rosa of Francisco. He also has been a film maker-correspondent for several films in Colombia. He has worked for presidential campaign as a photographer. And, he has done Photographic coverage of a trip of 500 days through out the South America tropic with a bicycle, a camera, a notebook, a hammock, French, a pepper shaker, a music box and a Colombian coffee. 2007 - April 2009. To start with his achievements, he was awarded with Honor of Excellence: Service to the community, Student of the Year-Colombian Society of Architects, and many more.
