Synopsis: Pamfir is a gripping Ukrainian drama that follows the story of Leonid, a former smuggler who returns home to his rural village on the eve of a traditional carnival. When his son sets fire to the village chapel, Leonid is forced to return to the dangerous underworld he once left behind to protect his family. Blending intense human drama with a powerful visual style, Pamfir explores themes of sacrifice, fatherhood, and the cost of survival in a lawless borderland.
