Fixel Trio, led by Rio-based drummer and composer Lucas Fixel, features Jatsiri Gallego on vocals and Siddhartha Gautaman on guitar. The trio explores Brazilian music through spontaneous, improvisational interpretations of original compositions and classics by artists like Milton Nascimento, Hermeto Paschoal, and Tânia Maria. Their sound blends jazz with the spirit of capoeira, Afro-Brazilian traditions, and communal musical gatherings.
