Event Description: Jashn-e-Noor is a festival to be part of and celebrate Afghan culture.

Simurgh Centre, a project of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi, works to create conversations within and for the Afghan diaspora and connecting Afghan, German and Indian artists. It is a space for making connections through culture. The Jashn-e-Noor is a fair, a mela, started in 2023 with exactly this aim, to establish connections through culture. Over the two days, you will get a chance to relish homemade Afghan food, acquire handmade articles or original pieces of art, enjoy Aghan music, and play board games that are typically enjoyed by the community.

The proceeds for the goods sold or any paid activities will go directly to the artisans. As the name promises, it will be two days of the celebration of light, a light that shines despite all the darkness.

We will share the full schedule for the fair soon, including pre-registrations for the workshops. Watch this space!
