Event Description: Meera Desai Quartet Live

The Meera Desai Quartet works and experiments in lyrical folk and jazz, playing a combination of original music and reimagined standards. Meera Desai is a vocalist who is originally from New York with a background in jazz, classical, and hindustani classical. Her debut EP, "I've Never Been Happier to Be Lost," produced by Raag Sethi, was released in 2019. The quartet is made up of Meera Desai on vocals and guitar, Harmish Joshi on saxophone and flute, Raag Sethi on bass, and Shivang Kapadia on drums. The group is a meeting of passionate and diverse musicians who have mostly been involved in India's contemporary jazz scene. Their focus is on finding and creating beauty in subtle ways.
