Event Description: NAADAALAY invites you to Solstice Celebration, its new Sacred Sounds series

Music is when you produce sound (and silence) over time, for aesthetic effect, intellectual communication or emotional expression. Meditation is when you try to stop Doing and just Be. Musical meditation is when you try to make yourself available to the Universe and connect with it enough that it makes you produce a musical sound, or guides you as to what and when to sing/play. This connected, guided free flow of music is what we'll attempt in this session. It can be very cathartic, relaxing, intensive and/or emotional... but don't worry, you don't have to *do* anything! 😜

This is the first of the new Sacred Sounds series by Naadaalay. In this celebration of the Winter Solstice, when the sun is about to begin moving northwards again, Ashish Dha will use Sanskrit syllables to tap into the inner energy and invites everyone to join him on the journey. Spiritual singing will be followed by a free-flowing musical meditation, very likely of a Hindustani raagdaaree flavour.
