Event Description: 1929, Hinglish Play

A year which often gets lost in the history books when the independence struggle is discussed. This is the year when India rejected dominion status and took ‘Poorna Swaraj’ as their rallying cry in their quest for independence. 

The story is set in a locality in Lahore where Avadesh is a lawyer who is popular in the social circles as well as with the locals in his locality. He frequently holds parties at his home and makes sure he calls people from all ideologies. He also maintains good relations with the British. 

On 31st December 1929 when Jawahar Lal Nehru unfurled the tricolor on the banks of Ravi river, Avadesh is accused of the murder of an oppressive British official. 

Watch the mystery unravel with the backdrop of a national struggle in this fictitious tale inspired by the events of 1929.
