About Karsh Kale :

Karsh Kale is widely regarded as a pioneer of global fusion and electronica as his music has inspired and defined the worldwide club phenomenon known as “Asian Massive” or “Asian Underground” in the early part of the decade. Today Karsh's music has traveled far past the underground club scene and has been featured on stages from Lincoln Center to the Burning Man Festival, and from the Barbican Center to the Hollywood Bowl. Karsh’s diverse musical talents – whether as a world-class tabla player/drummer, producer, composer, songwriter, remixer or DJ - have led him to working with some of the world’s leading artists such as Pandit Ravi Shankar, Sting, Zakir Hussain, Herbie Hancock, Lenny Kravitz, Anoushka Shankar, and many others. In the past ten years, Karsh released 4 critically acclaimed solo albums and has toured the world with various ensembles including Cinema Live, Timeline, Realize Live, Tabla Beat Science (w Zakir Hussain), Breathing Under Water (w/ Anoushka Shankar) and live with the Midival Punditz. 

Be it with his live ensembles, or as a world-renowned producer, Karsh Kale continues to push the boundaries of music in many directions as well as continues to be one the most sought after collaborators of his generation.

About Anhad + Tanner

A collaborative project creating a sonic experience for the lovers of Indian electronica and fusion music. Pushing boundaries beyond genres and fitting elements of Hindustani music in different contemporary contexts.

It all started back in 2016 when Tanner (Native - Durham, North Carolina) met Anhad (Native - New Delhi, India) while working with Non-Profit - Music Basti. In their time at the organization, they taught music to children in government schools, and while the introduction was brought about by a shared desire to give back to the community new doors opened for their professional careers as well. After a year of teaching together, this duo took its new form as a collaborative project which focused on making music inspired by their respective backgrounds - Anhad’s being based in the sounds of Asian underground and Indian electronica and Tanner’s coming from contemporary jazz and western classical.
