Event Description : Forbidden Verses presents Fall'19

Forbidden Verses works to explore arts in the most varied of endeavours and with that, we bring forth a new art-form; film-making.  
How many times have you watched characters unfold on celluloid, unfurling with them a myriad of stories, dilemmas, conflicts and situations? Films as a medium have brought the most bizarre of situations to the screen making the audience feel something a thousand miles away. 

It will be divided into two segments; 

'If a million people see my movie, I hope they see a million different movies.' - Tarantino
First, we have a line up of assorted abstract short films specifically hand-picked and capable of having a number of interpretations followed by a short film exploring Drag in India by Anmol Singh Gulati. 

Second, we have a screening of The Death of Us by Vani Subramanian, a prodigious film about capital punishment and the death penalty in India and engage in complex conversations on crime and punishment, revenge and justice, popular rhetoric and personal experiences.
