Event Description: The Australian High Commission’s popular Oz Haat Charity Mela is on again!

Gear up for the much-awaited Oz Haat Charity Mela at the Australian High Commission on 30 November. In its 19th year, the Mela promises to be a lot of fun! A wide range of hand-made products, including tribal art, textiles, homewares, clothes, jewellery, accessories, Christmas decorations and much more, will be up for sale at the Mela. All the proceeds from the sales of these products, made by NGO communities from all over India, will go directly to the charities represented as per tradition. The kid’s corner will have a host of fun activities - magic shows and story-telling sessions – throughout the day to keep your little ones engaged. The popular band CHIZAI is back for the second consecutive year at the mela and will surely keep you entertained as you shop. An addition to this year’s mela is a theatre play by Aagaaz Theatre to highlight some of the issues around gender. Gourmet snacks, a classic Aussie BBQ and a bar with Australian wine is also on offer. So do come along and join us for a sun-soaked winter day on the lawns.

Oz Haat is organised by the Australian High Commission since 2000 as part of its Direct Aid Program, which provides development grants to NGOs across India.
