People in Spain, by Arjun Sara

"Humans are performers in a simulated reality." - Arjun Sara

Do we humans follow a destined path or a coded pattern? Are we really making choices on our own or the decisions were already pre-decided? Is our life a part of a movie or a game or maybe a simulated reality?

Simulated reality; a concept where the reality is an artificial simulation, such as an extended hallucination or an elaborate computer program.

The artist Arjun Sara, imagines this simulated reality as a multilayered grid of infinite coding influencing our existence at a number of points. These grids define the magnitude of shadows we see, textures we feel, emotions we go through, fragrances we inhale, vibrations we experience etc. Arjun also believes that we living beings interact with this intricate grid at various checkpoints cumulating/concluding to a journey. These journeys become our identity in the system as a spiral.

Arjun Sara, an architect experimenting with both art and architecture using various means. He completed his B.Arch from Vastu Kala Academy, New Delhi in 2015. He further mastered his knowledge with a PG course from DIA Dessau, Germany in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, he worked on various residential and institutional projects with vir.mueller architects, Delhi. Since the beginning of 2019, Arjun started his own journey of interweaving art and architecture. Arjun has been recording spaces, buildings, objects and people extensively during the course of his education and travel. His artworks reveal unnoticed specifics, creating a dialogue between what is present (reality) and the cosmos (something supreme way beyond our reach).
