Event Description : MUSIC : Saptak Chatterjee

Saptak Chatterjee is a 3rd generation Hindustani Classical Vocalist. Apart from being a professional performer since 2012, he holds a number of reputable positions such as - Empaneled artist with the ICCR, B High Grade artist with the AIR.  

Saptak has been involved with a number of high value projects such as the Global Children's Peace choir with Late. Pt. Ravi Shankar Ji and Austrian composer Sir Gerald Wirth. He has secured premier positions in over 200 College and University level competitions during 2013-2016.  

He hasperformed in cities all over India such as Kolkata, New Delhi, Varanasi and toured abroad in countries like Austria and Bangladesh.  

In July 2017, Saptak released his Debut EP titled ‘Kehsihba’. The track featured 4 tracks, ‘Nadi’ ‘I Wait’ ‘Wishful Night’ and the title track ‘Kehsihba’. It received wide acclaim and has been gathering followers steadily ever since, appreciated by Rolling Stone India and Trunk Music.  

In 2018, Saptak released his Debut Album titled ‘Material & Mind’. The record featured 8 tracks. It has been receiving appreciation steadily ever since, appreciated by Rolling Stone India, Trunk Music, members of Indian Ocean, Advaita, Palash Sen, and Indian Film Music personalities.  


Saptak Chatterjee is also the Hindustani Vocalist of SabCulture, a Delhi based World Fusion act. The band has opened for artists like Mohit Chauhan, Javed Ali, Pritam, Raghu Dixit and Farhan Akhtar. It has been featured on 95 FM, 93.5 FM, HT, Rock Street Journal, etc. Various performances across the country include World Music Day, Sounds of Freedom, IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo, etc.
