Event Description : MUSIC : Crescendo : Matinee Special

Crescendo, the Western Music Society of Sri Venkateswara College is a long standing group of versatile musicians. It comprises of one of the oldest, well known Acapella groups in the DU circuit, two western bands and exciting solo, duo and trio acts. The society has been bustling with talent for the past 20 years and continues to establish a stronghold in the Indian music scene.  

Their members come from diverse backgrounds with eclectic tastes in music. If you stumble onto the famous Audi Lawns on campus, you will find them jamming along to smooth jazz, funk and some good old blues.

Their Work:

- This year Crescendo was adjudged the Best Music Society at the Delhi College Awards conducted by the Education Tree. 

- Crescendo also performed for Mr. Gerald Wirth, a two-time Grammy Award winner and Artistic Director of the Vienna Boys Choir, on his visit to New Delhi in October 2019. 

- Crescendo’s recent endeavours include the ‘Indie Series’ in which members seek to not only promote the independent music artists of India, but also aim to rearrange and produce the indie music we appreciate so dearly. 

- In addition to its competitive achievements at college fests, the society also performed at venues like Auro Kitchen & Bar, The Junction and DLF Promenade.
