Event Description : A screening of four short films (made for the exhibition 'The Mirror: Our Reflected Image', Museum Rietberg, 2019) will get their first showing in Delhi.

Harsha Vinay led the fieldwork in northern Kerala and Tulunadu with colleagues and associates at temples dedicated to deities personified as mirrors. They documented remarkable rituals of consecration and possession that use mirrors as well as deities which were shown with the mirror as their attribute.

The screening will be introduced by Naman P Ahuja, Professor at JNU and Dr. Johannes Beltz, Vice Director and Curator of South and South East Asian Art, Museum Rietberg. 

It will be followed by a Q&A with the Director, Harsha Vinay.
