Join us for the launch of the Hindi translation of Die bestesn deutschen Gedichte, translated by Mehak Talwar, Namita Khare, Neha Kaushik, Sanjeev Kaushal and Sartia. The translation is published by Phoneme Publishers and Distributors.
About the book: A collection of the best German poems, edited by Marcel Reich Ranicki.”Poems can withstand time better than the most magnificent temples and palaces,” says Marcel Reich-Ranicki. About the Translators:
Mehak Talwar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, Delhi University.
Namita Khare is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, University of Delhi. She is deeply interested in translations of German literature, and has co-translated Herta Müller’s novels Der Mensch ist ein großer Fasan auf der Welt and Atemschaukel.
Neha Kaushik is has been a Teaching Fellow at IIT Mandi since May 2019. Prior to this she was Guest Faculty at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University, where she offered various courses on translation.
Sanjeev Kaushal teaches English at the University of Delhi. He is a Hindi poet and translator. His collection of poems titled Ungaliyon Mein Parchhaiyan has been published by Sahitya Academy, New Delhi.
Sarita is an Assistant Professor in Delhi University and teaches German at the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies. She has translated a short story in an anthology which was published in 2018, Frischer Schnee by Ralf Rothmann.
