Event Description : Czech-Austrian Jazz Band: Purple Is The Color

The Czech Embassy in New Delhi, the Embassy of Austria in New Delhi and Austrian Cultural Forum in New Delhi organize a jazz concert of the Czech-Austrian band PURPLE IS THE COLOR on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the premises of the Czech Embassy, 50-M Niti Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. This band was ranked No. 1 at the CENTRAL EUROPEAN JAZZ COMPETITION 2018 and received the "Absolute Winner Award".

About the Band : Austrian composer and musician Mr Simon Raab met his future Czech musical partners Štěpán Flagar, Martin Kocian, and Michał Wierzgoń in 2015 at a jam session in Linz, Austria, the city where he was finishing his studies, and where the other three had recently began theirs. It became clear to all four of them that there is some potential there, and they decided to form a jazz band called now PURPLE IS THE COLOR.
