Event Description : SteelRush is a melodic rock band from India. With their melodic guitar solos and catchy hooks, SteelRush, intends to give the listener a taste of classic melodic rock in all its glory, while maintaining a characteristic sound that is truly theirs.
The band technically started in 2011 when the guitar player Aham Saxena met singer Apoorv Chouhan. Fueled by a mutual interest in 80’s rock, the two began recording original material at their home studio. It became clear right away that they had something worthwhile after the first few demos, and they knew the time was just right to bring back the classic sound. After an array of lineup changes, SteelRush decided that it was best to continue writing their music as a two-piece band, while performing with session players when they went live.
Being influenced by bands like Europe, Def Leppard & Winger, SteelRush’s music is best defined as a mixture of hard rock & AOR. With their multilayered vocals, melodic guitar riffs, heavy drums & vintage synth sounds, it isn’t difficult to trace their roots back to the 80’s. The lyrical themes, which they deem equally important as their music, revolve around emotionally charged experiences, delivered in a refreshing manner of odd rhyme schemes, filled with alliterations, puns, and even sarcasms.
SteelRush released their first demo “The Winter’s Night” in 2012. Apart from being an instant hit in the local scene, it was received very well by audiences abroad as well. The song received airplay on BeRock Online Melodic Rock Radio Station (Greece), as well as Firebrand Rock Radio (UK). The song was also featured in the compilation album by BeRock Radio titled “Under the City Lights”, alongside greats like Robin Beck.

Through The Night EP (2016):
The band released their 4 track-self produced EP titled 'Through The Night' in August 2016. The album was very well received, selling in more than 10 countries around the world. They also became the first Indian band to be featured in the “Powerplay” magazine (UK). Their singles have received airplays on online radio shows both at home (radiocityfreedom) & abroad in the US, Italy and Greece.
