Event Description : DANCE 'Dance Kaleidoscope' Bharatanatyam recital by students of Priya Venkataraman

This evening features almost fifty young student performers, that reflect changing patterns, sequences and a kaleidoscope of colour. Priya is known for her adherence to the classical repertoire' of Bharatanatayam and the show promises to be a mix of old and the new.

The yearly concert features young performers as well as students who are part of the dance company that tours nationally and internationally. Priya's students have won many dance competitions, scholarships from CCRT and awards for outstanding performances at dance festivals. Because of Priya's busy performance calendar, the school accepts students after an audition. Classes are offered at the Shri Siddhi Ganesha Temple near Galleria in DLF, phase 4.

DANCE KALEIDOSCOPE as the name suggests is: beauty (kalos); seen in form and shape (eidos); to look at or examine (skopeo) and essentially means "observation of beautiful forms."
