Event Description : KIDS : a fun-filled family weekend
A host of interesting activities for children and parents in collaboration with Harper Collins and Caara Café
It is the onset of the summer vacations – a time that could either be spent watching movies or playing games on screens, or it could be productively utilised for children’s personality development. Keeping this in mind, British Council, in collaboration with India’s prominent publishing house, HarperCollins, and Caara Café, is celebrating Family Day on 8th June. The programme includes a line-up of interesting workshops, movie screenings and quizzes that will allow children and their parents to bond with each other.
British Council, a knowledge centre for over 70 years, has evolved into a cultural hub, allowing audiences to access not just learning resources but an environment that nurtures learning and growth. It is a safe and friendly space where children can spend quality time learning, discovering and even meeting their favourite authors and artists.
Family Day activities, in partnership with Caara Café, range from fascinating workshops on organic gardening to cupcake decoration for kids and their parents. For book lovers, Harper Collins India will reveal an exciting Summer List for children of all ages as well as a new series of books - 'From the House of Harper'. The list will include books by award-winning authors from Ruskin Bond to Venita Coelho.
