Event Description : KIDS THEATRE "A Tiger For Malgudi" English Play

R.K. Narayan’s simple, sweet yet profoundly philosophical story has been adapted into a charming play for children by actor-director Jalabala Vaidya. The unique, poignant friendship between the once-worldly Sadhu and the mighty Tiger reveals layers of truth, about survival, greed, violence, friendship, respect and dignity – with a strong dash of humour. Set in the deep jungles of Southern India, and partially in the small town of Malgudi, the play’s simplicity hides a deeply spiritual core. 

The play is performed by Akshara's young Theatre students.
