Event Description : MUSIC : Songbird Sessions: Lifafa and Dee En
Kicking things off will be Dee En who will preview songs from their upcoming record, Poppin' EP, set to release on 18th March 2019. While this record firmly places them in a hazy space between the familiar and the strange, the show would indulge in events filled with noisy secrets and sugar melodies on a journey through a sploosh splash of colours.
Following Dee En, Lifafa will play tracks from his latest album, Jaago and more. As part of a demonic summoning, lights in red & white will beam down on an innocent audience as he performs from his perch, a shadow emitting his voice among the sounds from the album. It tends to serve as an aural aphrodisiac. There is no alternative to this.
Songbird Sessions is an intimate concert series curated and produced by Pagal Haina in association with OddBird Theatre & Foundation. The endeavour is simple, to put the focus firmly back on the artist and the performance. Collaborating with artists from the independent music scene, these sessions aim to break down the barriers between stage and seats, artist and audience, providing an in-depth exchange and a live music experience like no other.
This season comes with a reimagined visual identity by our amazing designer, Bhavya Kumar.
