Event Description : THEATRE : Adakaar Theatre Society presents "Beemar" Hindi / Urdu Play.
Synopsis: The play Beemar is a comic satire on the closed and restricted thinking in society. It revolves around the troubles of an assistant professor who has fallen terribly ill one day before a major paper presentation. Four of his friends come visit him one after the other, each giving him their own set of advise to get well, while completely dismissing the suggestions given by others. They seem to be more interested in boasting their knowledge rather than the professor's well being. All this chaos only adds to the professor's conflict and illness, almost driving him to a mental breakdown as he grows hysterical towards the end when a real doctor with genuine concern approaches him to help. The common attitude in society, 'that my way is the only right way and rest is all wrong' is depicted here through subtle comedy that leaves the audience laughing their hearts out throughout the play.

About The Director: Prince Singh Rajput a post graduate in acting from Jamia Milia Islamia, has been working as a theatre artist since 2012 and is cofounder of Adakaar Theatre Society. He is also trained in classical acting from National School of Drama and has taken training in script writing under Asghar Wajahat in a workshop by Sangeet Natak Academy. Prince has written and directed many plays in and around Delhi like Technical Default, Shaadi ke Mandap Mei, Antardrishti, Albela, Girgit, Uthal Puthal and more.
