SoundTank is an IP launched on the 28th of November 2018 by Ownage Entertainment with the aim to promote the live independent musicians in India. After a rather successful launch, we’re here with our first session, featuring the Delhi based band FIVE8. On support, we have a new and upcoming band named KAPOW!
Five8-
Delhi-based band, Five8, draws together raw rock and funk grooves with rich harmonies and catchy melodies in an exciting blend of composition and reactive improvisation.
The music on their debut album, Our Imaginarium, features 9 songs written by the band between 2010 and 2013. Telling stories both public and private, Five8’s songs speak simultaneously of chaotic city-life, concrete jungles, culinary adventures, traffic jams, daydreams, fleeting conversations and lost friendships. Taking the listener through different moods and soundscapes, their music can be looked at as a day-in-the-life of any of us!
Kapow-
A New Delhi based band that paints existing songs anew with their own characteristic outlook on music as they simultaneously use their symbolic and metonymic lyrics to tell untold yet relatable stories with the music filling the emotional colours taking the vibe from a chill, relaxing day at a beach to psychedelia to utter breakdown. All in all, they perform music which can be appreciated by the most diverse of masses, as they maintain the continuity of their characters and their way with the crowd.
