SPRYK
Spryk is the brainchild of Tejas Nair, who has been consistently redefining the role of an independent electronic artist in the Indian scene across various spectrums for nearly 4 years.
His latest sounds as part of a collaboration with bigfatminimalist, titled 'Strange Movements' has been regarded as one of the finest audio-visual treats to have come out of the country’s bludgeoning scene. His DJ set's feature a mix of bass music, swift rhythmic beats and a plethora of halftime beats. A keen purveyor of Bass driven electronic music and various forms of New Media arts, the last year has seen his work endorsed and supported by the likes of Red Bull Music as a key artist in the region and Sennheiser Audio as a partner for their immersive audio line of products titled AMBEO.
Alongside his solo efforts, Spryk has been showcasing the finest underground sounds being produced in the region to the rest of the globe via his own label imprint and online radio show, 'Skip-A-Beat', broadcast every month on Boxout.fm.
Burudu
Burudu is a two-person group that started unknowingly. Nakul and Sahil began working together in 2012. The initial idea was to fuse their individual musical journeys and the things that inspire them, and to combine their different approaches to music.
In 2013, while in London, their first few songs like ‘Red Cat’, ‘World at War’, ‘Georgina’, ‘Percorsa’, ‘Palmeras’ were officially released through independent labels like Spindisc Recordings, AL Records, Red Light Cafe Records, and Plexus Music. A year later, their Debut EP ‘Sun Theory’, was released through Seamless.
Back in India, they continued to release singles until 2016, including the likes of ‘Zardin Zetwal’ (2017) in collaboration with popular Mauritian rapper Myckee. By this time they had started performing their new live setup across India, at stages such as Magnetic Fields Festival (Rajasthan, 2016) and Ziro Festival of Music (Ziro, 2017) amongst many others. In November 2017, their critically acclaimed debut album, Ditties, hit all major stores worldwide. It was charted under various Apple playlists such as ‘Future Hits’, and ‘The A-List’, in addition to charting at No. 2 amongst Top Albums on Apple Music India.
Npstr
Ankur Singh's project Npstr mainly focuses on genres like UK Garage, Dubstep, Breaks, and Halftime. One of the finest selection of tracks accompanied by smooth execution of powerful bass lines is his definition. His influences are too many as he grew up around different genres in music. He’s also a one-fifth member of New Delhi based collective “Sub-Z”
