Specially Crafted Soirees where the moonlight and music will blend to recreate the poetic charm of traditional musical gatherings.
The Second season of the Under the Banyan Tree on a Full Moon Night will go beyond the traditional meaning of what is commonly recognized as ‘Indian Music’. The second season of this series will be all about music that is contemporary and new in India today.
Season 2 will kick off on August 25th, 2018 at 1AQ, opposite Qutub Minar, Mehrauli featuring Hindustani Vocalist Pavitra Chari, Atul Shankar and his flute ensemble and an extraordinary ensemble of 4 talented women –Women of the World - from the famous Berklee College of Music.
Teamwork Arts, a pioneering entertainment company, renowned for curating innovative and experiential events presents season two of the concert series, Under the Banyan Tree on A Full Moon Night starting with August 25 at 1AQ. The series, which will run from August to November, will forefront music that is contemporary, evolving and connected with global musical influences, yet is Indian at its core. The August chapter of the series is a prelude to The Sacred Pushkar, a Festival of Mind, Body and Soul coming soon in October.
The evening will present Indian music in a perfect baithak style ambience for a community of music connoisseurs and artistes to come together and celebrate the magic of music. Audiences will also enjoy an interestingly conjured culinary experience complementing the evening.
The upcoming concert will present - Women of the World - an extraordinary vocal ensemble of 4 talented women - from different corners of the globe, who came together at the renowned Berklee College of Music, Atul Shankar's Flute Ensemble from Benaras, as well as a solo set by Pavithra Chari, a Hindustani Vocalist.
Under the Banyan Tree on a Full Moon Night also comes with - an inspiring space creatively conceptualised by Anubhav Nath offering a stunning view of Qutab Minar, the venue 1AQ, the company of a select community and the rain- washed Full Moon to bring to you a complete musical soiree experience.
