Event Description : MUSIC : Guest Gig - Edition 9 with Aakanksha & Kanika!
One of our favourites and most exciting events, Guest Gig, returns With Aakanksha Kapoor and Kanika Bhatia!
With multiple shared interests (they're both vegetarian, love dogs and to travel), it'll be a super interesting night and we're pretty sure both of them are going to be absolutely smashing barkeeps for the night!
We are bringing them together not to spar but to sell maximum possible drinks in the night, and all for a good cause. Cocktails & Dreams, Speakeasy has pledged 20% of the profit for the night to Rasoi on Wheels, an NGO operating out of Gurgaon, that feeds almost 30,000 people every month!
About Kanika:
Kanika Bhatia is one of the oldest friends of speaks has been around for the best of times and the worst! We met when we were barely six months old, and as they say, she smiled her way into our hearts with that crazy sense of humour of hers. With all the spicy cocktails in the world and many late night chats (much after closing time) we saw her fall in love and marry the love of her life and we couldn’t have been happier! She will be making some cocktails just for you all, so come down and show some love to this crazy person who loves her dogs and cocktails (not in same order) more than anything else in the world!

Across the Universe - A lovely combination of Gin, black tea and fresh mango puree.
Here Comes the Sun - Whisky with fresh orange, homemade ginger soda, lime and aromatic bitters.
Twist 'n' Shout (Kanika's favourite at Speaks) - Tequila, passion fruit, fresh coriander, chat masala.
I Wanna Hold Your Hand - Gin unfused cucumber, homemade thyme bitters, fresh lime and tonic.
About Aakanksha:
Our second guest bartender for the night is the vibrant and super energetic Aakanksha Kapoor! Aakanksha used to head marketing and retail for I Say Organic (still part-time works with I Say).
She consults in business strategy and marketing for some adventure and sustainability related companies and basically loves to work around things she's passionate about.
She's now in the process of setting up a non-profit in the field of education which should go live later this year.
Apart from her love for nature, all things clean and green and sustainable (and obviously organic), she also absolutely LOVES running. It's been a big part of her life for the last 1 year.
No points for guessing what her menu revolves around! Of course, she's added a lil' dose of goodness to all her drinks and tried using all things natural and fresh!
Here are her cocktails for the night, you've got to try them all!
Cut the Carb - Bourbon, bitters, and a maple and homemade almond mash (instead of the classic sugar cube).
Gin Guzzler - Gin, kaffir and chunks of fresh malta and homemade orange bitters!
Electric Vodka - Get your dose of buzz from this refreshing cocktail made with Vodka, fresh cherries and rosewater.
Tequila Footprint - The kinda footprint we're okay with. A spicy Margarita made with Tequila, fresh green capsicum, and a hint of green chilli.
