Dancehall4eva is a property curated by Reggae Rajahs which brings together music and dance to celebrate dancehall culture. Dancehall originated in the 1980's in Jamaica when reggae music went through a process of digitisation. As the music developed into more harder hitting electronic beats, the dancing styles and patterns evolved simultaneously. Dancehall has grown immensely through the 90s and 2000s and it's influences can now frequently be spotted in global pop culture. Singers and dancers from across the world are borrowing from this style to put into their own songs and routines.
General Zooz and DJ MoCity, two of the founding members of Reggae Rajahs will be performing at the first edition of Dancehall4eva. They have both been playing dancehall music since the early 2000s, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep box of tunes with them. Dancheall Queen Ms. Sheriff will be performing for the first time in New Delhi. She recently came 2nd at Asia's Dancehall Queen Competition in Taiwan and is one of the most prominent dancehall teachers in India. Supporting acts for the evening include DJ's Stain and Pia Collada and local dance crew All Stars.
